LORAC Stay Cool Eyeshadow Palette Review

By 8:41 PM , , , ,

The Lorac Stay Cool palette caught my eye as I was perusing Nordstrom Rack. I love that you can get really cheap high end makeup there! I've found some really good stuff & I wanted to do a review on this one.

Typically, I gravitate toward natural palettes, but this time I went for a smokey eye palette with a touch of cool-blue. This palette was most likely meant for winter, but I thought the blue color could be used for a beach-y makeup look.

The colors are all metallic & great for putting together a smokey-eye. I instantly became infatuated with the teal shade. It has a slight gold undertone, making it compatible to both warm & cool skin tones.

Like I said before, I wouldn't normally go for a smokey palette, but there are so many possibilities with these colors!

I used the dark grey around my brow bone & blended it with the light grey directly on my eyelid. I used the black shade as an eyeliner & it worked out perfectly. I highlighted the brow bone a bit with the white shade & blended it out.

I like that this look is subtle, but I will use the teal shade later for a bolder look. As for the quality, it's, dare I say, topnotch. Lorac has produced some great eyeshadow palettes & this is definitely on that list. The colors are very pigmented & blend easily. They last all day into the night without creasing.

Hope you enjoyed this review. I found this palette at Nordstrom Rack for around $12 or get it here.
