January Ipsy Glam Bag 2015 Review
Hello everyone! I'm back with another [belated] Ipsy glam bag review. This month was the first time my bag was late (it read "missent" on package tracking update), so I debated on whether or not I should even do a review this month. I don't mind that it was late, since it was bound to happen sooner or later, but this means that most people have their bag already.
Anyway, I just wanted to share with you all some of the products I received & my general opinion of the January bag.
The theme for this month is Fresh Start, which is appropriate for the new year. The bag is a type of pleather with one side blue & the other side white. Pretty sure I'll be using it regularly for a while because I actually love the design, I just hope the white side doesn't get dirty!
Hikari Mechanical Eye Liner in Storm
First product is a grey metallic eye liner that looks good in theory, but I'm not sure I'll ever have a use for the color. It seems like decent quality & retails for around $13.00, but the color just isn't for me.
La Fresh Eco-beauty Day Moisturizer
I recently started trying some new moisturizers, including this little travel-sized one. It makes the skin feel very refreshed because it contains cucumber. There are tons of other natural ingredients that make it smell amazing & moisturize the skin.
Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow in Treasure
This eye shadow is a simple shimmery copper-brown color. It's got a nice quality & I'll probably get some use out of it since I tend to enjoy pacifica products. Pigmentation is decent, like other pacifica eye shadows I've come across.
Malin & Goetz Mojito Lip Balm
By far my faaaavorite product in the January bag is this liquid tube lip balm. It feels super hydrating & has a nice subtle flavor that isn't too overpowering. An annoying problem I have with lip balm is they always get very dirty & gross, but this one stays sanitary because of its sleek packaging.
Manna Kadar Shimmer Lotion
For the longest time I thought this was a hand lotion (how embarrassing, right?) Apparently it goes on before foundation & gives the skin a healthy glow. To me, it seems like an unnecessary step in the already-tedious makeup routine, but it does give the skin an extra oomph.
I was pretty impressed with this month's Ipsy bag. Someone from Ipsy realizes how dry I get during the colder months & graciously included a lot of moisturizing products in the bag. I have a feeling 2015 is gonna be a good year for Ipsy bags because we're already off to a great start!
Hope you enjoyed January's glam bag review. If you would like to subscribe to Ipsy for $10/month, here's my code. In the meantime, stay warm!
