February Favorites 2015

Hello everyone! The month of February was a stressful one, so I decided to take a little break from blogging to get my college applications in. I'm hopefully transferring to a four year university this fall so I needed to make that my priority so I could feel confident about it. The whole process was nerve-racking, but I feel so much better & now I can fully focus on making quality content for you guys.

I managed to find some really great products last month that I wanted to share, so here are a few of my favorites for last month!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Creamy Beige

I've literally used this every. single. day of February because of how wonderful it is. I've been using color tattoos for a few years now & I highly recommend them as a cheap eye shadow base. It goes great by itself or with shadow on top. It's just all around amazing if you like having a natural look. It allows the shadow to stay in place all day without becoming too oily. The color is completely matte which is another plus.

Bath & Body Works Body Lotion in Amber Blush

This lotion has been a life saver for my dry skin. The winter here in Austin has been brutal, so my hands have been suffering. The lotion smells amazing & helps soothe my dry hands. Amber Blush is probably one of my favorite smells at Bath & Body Works at the moment & I've gotten many compliments on it.

Tarte Light's, Camera, Lashes Mascara

I got this from my Ipsy bag a few months ago & have been loving it ever since. It's a high end mascara so it makes the lashes look fuller & more voluminous, but the other major reason I love it is because it actually washes off. I'm tired of having to scrub my eyes to get my mascara off every night. This mascara comes off right away, yet it still won't smudge & lasts all day long.

Revlon Lipstick in Rose Velvet

If you haven't already figured it out, I'm obsessed with Revlon lipsticks! Actually, I'm obsessed with all Revlon lip products. I find they're so much more classic than other lipsticks & compatible with my skin. This one's called Rose Velvet & it's a vintage red-brown shade. Very natural & soft for a classic look.

Hair Doughnut

I got this from CVS for only a dollar! I had been looking around for one of these for ages, but they're all so overpriced. This is the first hair doughnut (or whatever you wanna call it) I've tried & it works like a charm! It takes a bit of practice, like any other hairstyle, but it's totally worth it. I wear it on greasy hair days because it masks the fact that I haven't showered. It also matches my hair color, so it stays hidden. If you have a different hair color, I'm sure they have them in other colors. I just stick a few bobby pins in place to secure it all day long!

Turbie Twist Microfiber Hair Towel

Drying my hair hasn't been the same since I started using this! I previously used a t-shirt to prevent breakage because normal towels are very abrasive against hair. The Turbie Twist is soft & soaks up so much of the excess moisture. If you blow dry your hair, it'll save you so much time. I typically let mine air dry & this speeds up the process. It's really easy to use & won't come undone like a normal towel. I could go on & on about how great this towel is. You can find it at your local drug store or on Amazon for around $7-$10.

I never expected to like this show so much, but it's pretty amazing. Even my boyfriend watches it with me & we don't typically watch the same shows. I thought it would take me forever to finish the entire show, but I'm about done & it's kind of sad. I highly recommend watching it if you feel stressed or need a pick-me-up. It helped me through a stressful month, that's for sure!

Invisibilia Podcast

(Via Tumblr)

A lot of people have recommended this podcast as a good one to listen to after Serial. Although it's nothing like Serial, it sure is a great podcast. The pilot season is over so you can listen to the entire series in about a week. It's super interesting & helped me figure out a lot of things about myself & others. I have a long commute to school, so that's the perfect time to give it a listen! If you're at all interested in psychological phenomenons, this is for you.

Well that's about it for my February favorites! Thanks for being patient on my posts due to getting my apps done. I'll definitely get back to a consistent schedule of posting because I had an entire month to plan & reflect. Also, Spring is coming which will bring more inspiration. Hope you all have a fantastic month of March!
