May Ipsy Glam Bag Review 2015

Hello everyone! I've missed you all very much & I just wanted to take a moment to have a huge sigh of relief for finals week being over. That's right, I'm done for the semester & taking the summer off from classes to relax & have some fun!

I'm sure you all feel just as excited as I now that the month of May is upon us. My ipsy bag came a few days ago but I haven't had a chance to review it. Surprisingly it came a bit early, so I didn't quite expect it.

The theme for this month is Jetsetter. Quite appropriate since tons of people are gonna be vacationing in the upcoming weeks. The bag is cute, I will say, but I'm not a huge fan of items with superficial phrases on them. It reminds me of something you'd find at Forever 21, not that that's a bad thing. I can see why a lot of people would find it trendy & I certainly like the ode to lipstick.

Balanced Guru Style Me Hair Oil

One can never have too much leave-in conditioner, especially the organic kind. The bottle is a decent size so it should last a while & can be brought along on trips. I'll probably be using it before going out in the sun just to keep my hair hydrated.

Nuxe Reve de Miel Face Cleansing & Makeup Removing Gel

I haven't had a chance to try this because I've been a little more rigid on my skincare routine lately. Basically, I've been trying to keep it natural with certain products, but soon I'll get around to trying this. It has a very strong smell, but seems reliable in removing waterproof makeup.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil

This lip pencil came with a sample package with two mini pots of lip gloss from urban decay. I gather the pencil is supposed to be a primer for the lips, but it doesn't seem worth the trouble. I usually just use Vaseline to prime my lips before applying lipstick & that does the trick. Receiving high end makeup from ipsy is always a treat.

Jesse's Girl Pure Pigment Eye Dust

I really love this copper colored eye shadow pigment by Jesse's Girl. It truly is super pigmented & I feel like it would go great with several skin tones. There's plenty of product to last a while too. Brown is one of my favorite eye shadow colors to experiment with, so I'm eager to start using this.

Chella Eyebrow Color Pencil in Tantalizing Taupe

I rarely fill in my eyebrows mainly because it's too much work added to my makeup routine. There's a few occasions I'll use a brown eyeliner pencil, since I've never owned a proper eyebrow pencil. I tried this & it seemed easy enough to figure out. Thankfully, it doesn't smudge so I feel confident wearing it out in public.

Overall, the bag was pretty satisfactory. There are a few products I'm eager to try & possibly add to my makeup routine. Not seeing the huge correlation between the theme Jetsetter & the bag itself, but I'm still glad to be a subscriber.

Hope you all enjoyed my review on the glam bag this month. If you'd like to subscribe to receive a bag for only $10/month, here's my link. That's all for now!
